FORM BY PRESSURE
These are shapes when force is applied in the process of being stacked and bound.
By firing ceramics in a kiln, after allowing the sponge-like material absorb the soil, we came up with a method so it would maintain shape. As a result, we came some unique objects that reflect certain conditions such as “compression”, “pulling from both sides”, “softness” and “fragility”.
積む・束ねることによってかかる力がうむ造形。
スポンジ素材に土を染み込ませて焼成することによって、形を固定する手法を考案した。その結果、「圧縮」と「引っ張り」、「柔らかさ」と「硬さ」という相反する状態が同時に存在するような、不思議なオブジェができあがった。
