elements の第1回目のテーマは「火」です。
人類は、火を使い、寄り添うことで、数十万年の進化を遂げてきました。また、火を扱う技術も、文明の進化と同時に高度になっていきました。
しかし、現代の我々1人1人と火との距離は、急速に開いて行っているように思います。
elements 01では、我々人類がこれまで「火」とどのように付き合ってきたかを解剖し、それを知ることで今の生活に何をもたらすことができるのかを考えてみることにします。

“fire” is the first of our elements.
For hundreds of thousands of years, mankind has evolved by using and living with fire. We have become more and more adept in our skill in handling fire as civilization has continued to evolve.
However, we increasingly feel a distance forming between us.
So with elements 01, we wish to investigate how we, as people, have interacted with fire and to find what it may bring to our lives in the process.“fragility”.
