BIND AND SLIDE

Like tree trunks and branches that could bend in many different ways, depending on how dense the fiber is, this is a prototype that comes from an idea of binding the same material. By sliding the metal pieces to overlap, the sturdier parts move, and changes where they flex the most.

繊維の量によってしなり具合が異なる樹木の幹と枝のように、「同一の素材を束ねると強度が増す」ことから着想したテストピース。鋼材の重なる部分をスライドさせることで、強い部分が移動し、たわみを変化させることができる。
